Default Belt squealing

The last few times I've started up the engine the belt squeals for a minute or so.

I would check the belts. Most likely your idler pulley might need a little WD40. They tend to dry out. Just don't get any on your belt.

Default replace?

I use Gatorbacks from Goodyear... nice and quiet, easy job.

Here's a thread... Merry Christmas.

Check your balancer. They typically start to wobble. Just replaced mine with an underdrive.

I thought it was strange that it only squealed just after start-up then stopped.

Could be the idler bearing they tend to go dry and squeal especially on start up. I removed mine popped the seal off and the bearing looked fine so I repacked it with grease and now it's quite.
