i am convinced that i need to put gs d3 tires on my 99 vert, thanks to what i have read in forum. good wet traction as well as dry. now i need to know if there is anything specific i should tell the alignment folks or will it come directly from their charts? i think ntb will be doing the tires and alignment. just normal driving (for a vette! ) no autox or track time planned. anything i need to make sure they do or check?
The charts allow a lot of leeway for an alignment that meets specs. You should tell the tech you want the service preferred setting and there should be no + or - tolerances. Otherwise you can be in spec and have an alignment that is totally wrong for you. The specs are:

Have an experienced Corvette allignment shop simply do a Z06 spec allignment.
Perhaps go a tad easier on the neg. camber on all fours if you don't want the tire wear on the insides like Z's tend to have.
Make sure you raise or lower the car where you want it before you have the allignment done.
