Does anyone know if the screen on the intake side of the MAF comes off of it and if it does will it increase performance and still work right?

it will come out but you will damage it while taking it out. It seemed to help mine but I think it works on some and not on others. I ended up buying a stock used sensor that way if it didn't work I could put it back to stock. Like I said, it did seem to help my vette but my TA didn't like it.

Bunk

If you remove the screen you will more than likely de tune your MAF. Depending on how your MAF calibration is in stock form, it may help or it could hurt your economey and performance. If your going to have your car tuned, go ahead and remove it.. If your not, leave it in place until you do decife to tune. Removing the screen is NOT going to give you any earth shattering changes.

I have some ported housings if you would be interested. That way you don't have to butcher your stock housings

mvvette97,

How much are you asking for the ported housings?
And I assume putting one on would also require a tune?

I think I have a bid on your housings now. Is that the only set that you have?
