I have searched the trheads but cannot find a write-up on how to port and polish your throttle body. Any one know of a write-up that details how you can do it yourself?
I cant point you to a write up but I did my own! Be careful. The TB walls have a couple of very thin spots. If you get too carried away, you will sand through. I broke through in one small area of the housing and used JB weld to repair it. Worked like a champ!
The very front of the opening and the area right at the throttle blade are the areas that need the most smoothing.
Some people modify the vent openings but I didnt do that.
Dremmel tool sanding rolls and regular wet & dry sand paper is all thats needed. Once you rough it out with the sanding rolls get some 380, 400, 600 wet and dry sand paper and finish it off with 1200 then some never dull polishing wadd.
