Car has new (1 yr.) OEM battery. Started fine about 2 weeks ago. Hooked up battery charger and get green light saying battery is charged. Tried the "quick start" mode (55 amp) and just get clicking. Disconnected charger and soon as I turned key, lights went dim then out. Getting "cycling/clicking " noise in passenger fuse panel location. Car has "Super Chip" programing and Halltech Stinger. No other engine/electrical mods to speak of. What are the Do's and Don'ts for trouble shooting? Will I lose Super Chip program if I disconnect battery? Any help appreciated.

Shouldn't lose the Superchip program from a dead battery. Check batt conections closely. Charge battery, then try to start. Get a trickle charger for when it will be setting up doing the cold months..
OEM batteries are known to leak, so check this out also...My $.02
Got it running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Used jumper cables with 2nd vehicle. Figured out it hadn't been started for over 4 weeks. I made trip back to mid-west a couple of weeks ago and failed to tell my wife to sart up weekly while I was gone. Time to get out the trickle charger. Thanks for quick replies from everyone! FANTASTIC GROUP to be affilliated with! Happy New Year. Winter is not my favorite season, although I try to drive the C5 every chance I get pending the weather.
Believe it or not, that battery could be dead (shorted cell). I would have it tested. (Autozone, Advanced or Sears checks them for free). If it isnt the battery, check the connections! The terminals need to be clean and tight. Remove them, wire brush, spray them clean with spray brake parts cleaner then WD-40. Tighten them to 11 ft/lbs.
Try that and see how you make out. Your program is NON Volital and should be fine!!
