Default C6 window sealer on a C5!?!?!?!

My uncle recently purchased a new C6, my favorite feature, when you close the door the window pops up another 3/16" and seals it!! Would it be possible to retrofit this to the C5? Has anyone tried or looked into it? There's nothing more I hate than cruising down the highway listening to the wind noise in my car!! What do you guys think? Thanks and Happy New Year, Dan

The noise of the run-flats drowns out the wind noise

You're missing a crucial point; the C6 eliminates the wind noise by providing a groove for the top of the window to fit in; our cars are not designed this way. The window has to drop down or it would hang on the body when you tried to open the door.

Shoving the top of the glass further into the weather strips on a C5 will only damage / tear it.

You might try a search for window adjustment. Not too long ago there was a thread about wind noise and someone described how to adjust the door so it tilts inward creating a better seal. FYI

Would the C6 weatherstripping possibly work on a C5? If the weatherstripping is the biggest task to concquer I think we can handle that. I knew the weatherstripping would have to be switched out but I was more concerned about the electronics of it. Is is just a relay that does this switched by the door opening and closing, or a totally different motor, or what? Someone figure out the electrical and I'll figure out the weatherstripping!!
