That is pretty good advice and I can tell you i have none countless persons going with 4.10s on non-z06 M6 tranny and 100% of them have said they LOVE the 4.10s and this is the way the car should of came from the factory and NONE of them ever posted any negative feedback about going with the 4.10s!!!

Here is your negative feedback:

4.10s suck if you are running road courses. Been there done that and they require too much shifting and plenty of times you are left with decisions like to ease off the gas or try a quick shift up knowing you are going to shift back down because you run out of gear.

Outside of that I can say 100% that I loved my 4.10s for light to light driving and for 1/4 mile racing when I did that.

I am sure you have done a TON more hardcore roadracing than i have with 4.10 gears; however the couple of times i took out my old 03 Z06 with 4.10 gears i had no issues roadracing and just faster accleration and quicker shifting down the straights!! This man has an M6 tranny making the 4.10 an easy decison. If the 4.10s are intolerable to him the 3.90 won't be that much better anyways so may as well go for ALL THE GUSTO you can get when it comes to accelerating from 0 to 150mph!
