Default Need help with HUD half out

This is on a 2000 C5 Coupe with 85K miles. I was pushing the page button on the HUD display when the speed and the right side info (mine was set for fuel) went out. The rpms still read out, and when I start the car, all of the lights on the HUD come on. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if this involves taking the dash pad off, I need to know what to look out for so I don't break any tabs while taking this apart. Thanks

I'm guessing that you held the button for a few seconds w/o changing pages. By doing this, you went to another set of display settings. Try holding the "page" button until the display changes. Continue doing so until it get back to the way you'd like it.

It just changes what is displayed. During what I would consider normal operation you'll see the tach, speed and fuel(or other) on the HUD. Quickly pressing the page button scrolls through the items on the right side. Every time you hold down the page button for 1-2 seconds the display adds/removes items.
  • The items on the right (fuel/etc) disappear, leaving the speed/tach.
  • Only the tach is displayed.
  • Only the speed is displayed.
  • The speed and fuel/other items are visible.
  • All items are again visible.

Have fun trying it out.

edit: I found it to be handy at a driving school when they told us not to look at our entrance speeds going into corners. It's too much of a distraction. The tach was the only useful item in that situation.
