Loose drivers seat?
I'm new to the forum. Recently purchased a 2002 vert with 36K miles and in pretty good condition. Its my first vette and I'm very excited about finally owning and driving my "dream car". I'm 59, so time is starting to be a factor.
Hit 72 degrees today here in Northern Virginia and took her out for a ride in the country with the top down. Great drive, but when I got home I noticed that the drivers seat seemed a little wobbly as got out of the car.
I know the seats are bolted down in four places and those bolt connections seem tight. The power function works fine with regard to the seat moving forward and back smoothly. So the seat must be still on track.
Is this something that could just be tightened up by removing the seat from the car or does it sound more like a broken part within the seat frame?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or comments.

One thing I'll suggest - I did NOT remove the traveler block and instead put nylon washers on both sides of the block after I cut a wedge shaped slot in the washer and pressed it in place. The block is trapped and the washer will not come out. If you take the traveler block off, be sure you put both blocks back in the same place. If they are at different places on their respective drive screws the seat will jam.

I checked out the link you provided in your reply. Nice to know that its a common problem, but looks like a little more than I'd be comfortable getting into. I'm very mechanically challenged. Can barely hang a curtain rod.
I'll probably let my local dealer handle it, but thanks again for your kind reply and advice.

Live/Love/Laugh as there is always some idiot out there that wants to make your day as bad as theirs.
It's good to know that I'm not the only older, oh excuse me, I mean mature, guy out there with his "first" vette.
I think I'll take your good advice to "Live/Love/Laugh" because life is really really short!
Take care,

Ken Robbs fix is for a seat that slides back and forth on the tracks. I have done both of mine and it works great.
The other situation is a seat that truly rocks back and forth and is much more difficult to address other than proping something behind the seat. My passenger seat has this problem and I keep it right back against the carpeted bulkhead...
