ck. your batt. cables remove them and clean also make sure your batt. is charged if the batt. is an delco they leak at the batt. terminals and cause many problems if cables are green and dirty from the leaking batt. clean them with water and baking soda and replace the batt.
I would check the simple stuff before going to the starter.
-Make sure the battery is charged
-Cables are tight at battery and grounds are clean.
- If you have a 6 speed you should see the following when you turn the key.
1) push clutch in and turn key, should hear theft deterrant relay click in floorboard of passenger side.
2) hold the key to the start position and release then push clutch pedal in, you should hear the theft deterrant relay click on and off each time you fully engage/disengage the clutch pedal - this is showing that the clutch pedal sensor is working
If all above works as described it is probably connections at battery, starter or starter itself.
I know how frusterating it can be to diagnose something like this, been there done that.
