I used EDead from Elemental Designs. Go to the Audio/Electronics Forum in the General Corvette section and there is lots to look at if you search insulation.

There is Dynomat Extreme, FatMat, Crazy Cowboy (CF vendor) and kool-mat (very expensive).

I used kool-mat because I don't plan on selling my car ever. Price tage was around $1,500 bucks. It was a pain in the a$$ to install.

Cheapest way would be Dynomat type of product (generic) and a tunnel plate from elite engineering, IMHO.

use cowboys kit for heat, adn use a closed cell foam layer to help cut on sound. you can get the closed cell foam at elemental designs really cheap and they ofter a forum discount as well if you call them. The mat deadner is really more for vibration than noise.

looks like edead from elemental designs, but twice as much. i wonder how the 2 compare.

here is edead on my doors

and on the rest

but the liquid stuff is more for vibration noises than heat and road noise. for road noise you would want a closed cell product.

Dynamat is a good solution of you are only going to use a little or don't care about the weight addition. I used some of it to deaden my shifter and insulate around the center console - but that is as much as I am willing to add...

Dynamat - .68 lb/ft
DynaPad - 1.09 lb/ft

Total square footage of C5 kit (per the spec sheet on the DynaMat site):
Dynamat - 84 sq ft
DynaPad - 156 sq ft

Total weight for C5 kit - 227lbs

No way in hell am I going to add another ~230 lbs to my car just to reduce a little road noise, but it's your car do what ya want...
