I had my car into the dealer to have the emergency brake adjusted. They could not resist taking off the rear wheels. I asked them if they used a torque wrench to tighten and they did not. They say there air wrenches are set at the correct level. I thought I should check. What is the correct level for lug nuts to be torqued too. Thanks.

By all means, loosen the lug nuts and retorque them. The favored approach is a three step tightening at 50 ft-lbs done in a star pattern. then 75 ft-lbs and then 100 ft-lbs. This ensures even torque all-round and greatly reduces the chance of warped rotors.
Rangers right. I would also be sure that the face of the rotor hub, which will come in contact with the wheel, is clean and free from rust and debris. Sometimes they just pop them back on......
Ranger is the man! I never let an air wrench near my wheels. Do like I did and find a good little shop that will take the time to change/rotate/balance your wheels/tires w/o using the air wrenches. Those things are bad news.
