Default another painting question

Thanks for your replies on my painted fuel rail cover question. I painted them today and they look awesome. I will post some pics soon.

I am wanting to paint the intake manifold as well. Since it is plastic, it runs a lot cooler. Do I need high temp paint, or can I use normal paint?

Thanks

That's interesting. I didn't realize the intake manifold was plastic. I always assumed it was metal.

TargaC5: I think he means the intake airbridge, not the intake manifold.:smash: I would think that high temp paint is not necessary for the plastic airbridge.

Please post pictures of your fuel rail covers, would love to see them...

Nope, I mean the actual plastic (composite for all you technical types) intake manifold.

Pics should be up in a few days.
thanks

You should be alright with normal paint. Some hot rodders actually use the same paint on their engine block as they do on the body. I can't see how it can stand the heat though. Your intake should be fine, like you said since it is plastic, it runs a lot cooler.
