Had another post that started this adventure. Took my toy in to have tires put on, LR tire pressure didn't display, got the "Service tire pressure monitor" code, and called the tire installer. "Bring it in, we'll take a look." At first, there was talk about dead batteries, "these things just stop working sometimes", etc., but when I went back to pick up my car, the tech had the old sensor in my paperwork jacket. It had a HUGE gouge on the side. I leaned over and said "Sure does look like a break down tool mark doesn't it?" He glanced around, grinned, and whispered "Sure does."
There wasn't a word said about paying for the sensor.
Now to the question:
They didn't know how to train the sensor. I have the magnets and the procedure. Can I train just the ONE sensor? As luck would have it, the sensor that was replaced is on the left rear which is the last one in the sequence. I can't find anything here and dayum sure don't have time to search for something like this is my Helm manual, so I'm hoping someone knows.
I don't know if you can only train one apart from the others; may have to simply do all of them at one time.
Thanks for the link. I found some similar info in a different format in another thread on here, and I think the one you posted is better for ONE reason. The DIC starts with "Learn LF". That tells me with 99.9% certainty that I have to train all of them and in the order that the DIC shows them to me.
On another subject, we gotta find another acronym or something for the driver information center. It just feels weird talking about my (you know) all the time in a thread.

You're welcome - hope it helps. As to your last point, don't women say that's all we think about anyway ?

Well actually it was a situation sort of like this that prompted the suggestion. A week or two ago my wife was helping me shoot trouble on an electrical problem by sitting in the car and reading out display info. Or at least she was for a minute or so. The first time I asked "What does the DIC say" she looked at me weird, began laughing uncontrollably, got out of the car and went back in the house.
And just a tip - if a buddy is helping who knows nothing about Corvettes or driver information centers, you do NOT want to ask him the question.
Put four sensors in yesterday, using an old speaker magnet with a hole drilled in it to go over the valve stem, and followed the directions in the link posted above. Worked like a charm!
Thanks guys, I really appreciate all the help available on the forum. This way I am able to afford my vette . I do all my own work whenever possible.
