Default Getting Headers

Hey guys, I am going to jump on the texas speed ceramic long tube headers with the connecting pipes to the stock h-pipe. I was wondering what else i would need to go along with the install? I am going to be having my buddy at a muffler shop install it, and I dont want to go in there looking like an idiot with not the right stuff. Would i need to get any gaskets or O2 sensor extensions or anything? Thanks guys.

You need the earlier gaskets which are round. The 02 gaskets are rectangular with provisions for the AIR system built into them. Not sure on the TSP headers what else you need, not familiar with them but Jason or someone at TSP can likely guide you in this.

Not to hijack the thread, but are you using stock cats on this setup? If so, I would love to see your dyno chart afterwards to see how their setup works through stock cats...

Well i currently am running the slp loudmouths. So if i lose the cats and run an x pipe its going to be too loud. I am going to see how it will be running with the stock cats and hpipe, and If i can go louder i will just get hi flow cats and an x pipe. But i am also getting a cam once summer begins, so this whole setup is just going to scream especially with the loudmouths.

i think it will be loud with the headers and a cam you may wanna switch to something that has a muffler, if you like it loud then i would probably go with corsa pace car exhaust.. heres a vid of h/c longtube and pace cars, i think it sounds perfect http://videos.streetfire.net/video/d...6701722887.htm and for a cam i would go with the ecs cam, there are a few guys that have it and are making 430rwhp and 390rwtq with only a cam and longtubes... plus we have flp in naperville that has one of the best tuners in the nation to tune your car

Hopefully it will be just right with the lts, cam, and loudmouth. Maybe to loud then ill look into something with a muffler. But, I am defently having FLP tune my car no doubt about it. And most likely Outlaw Performance will be doing the cam install. Any thoughts on that?

i don't know too much about them other than they are pretty new to the forum, there is another company that is new too Straightline Performance, i think they have some winter special labor rates... i would call both places and pick the place that sounds best to you
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1583438
as for the cam, call Chris at ecs http://www.eastcoastsupercharging.com/contact.htm
good luck, and if the loudmouths are to loud after you get your car back you can trade someone for a different exhaust

Thanks for all the help buddy. But, for the cam i was looking all over for the right one, and I am planning on going with the Texas Speed Torquer V.2 cam kit. I am going to be looking at around $2000 for the cam kit plus labor and tuning. So its not to bad.
