Cd and top speed question
Is there a formula that given a car's top speed at a given
Cd, what would the top speed be if the Cd was X?

Re: Cd and top speed question (peccles)
here you go. There are other factors involved like gearing tire diameter etc etc...
Heres a spreadheet to calculate anything you want like that. just unzip and run.

Re: Cd and top speed question (kewlbrz)
kewlbrz,
Thanks for the spreadsheet. What are the values
you use for frontal area for a C5? Is the effective
tire diameter in inches? Is it an average of the
front and rear?
Thanks
Paul

Nice formula, fun to play with. One question, what horsepower are you using? CRANK, or rear wheel?

Re: Cd and top speed question (6Speeder)
I copied that spreadsheet from a site a long time ago. I am under the impression that its rear wheel power. Power truely available.
