Default Climate Control stuck at 73

I read through the forums and did not see a problem like this one. I recently replaced the lights on my Climate Control Unit with Blue LEDs and now my Temp is stuck at 73. I replaced my interior temp sensor thinking I might have plugged it in backwards after removing it and its still stuck at 73. Everything else seems to work fine but I can't change the temp.....any thoughts?

The readout comes from the external temp sensor under the front outside passenger side of the car, by the skid rail. It does not come from the internal temp sensor.

The control reads the external as well as internal temp. Outside is reading 36 and I can not increase the temp with the **** to set the heat or Air Conditioning temperature

It never displays the internal temp, it only displays the temp you're setting and the external temp. The internal sensor reads the return air from the cabin to monitor and control the temperature of the a/c, but does not read it on the display. Doesn't sound like either is your problem though. Maybe a solder short or burned circuit strip or overheated component during LED change?

Sounds possible. I looked at the the internals and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I'll take a look again. thanks for the insight.

I just did my lights as well, it could be that a wire from the Driver's Control Dial is messed up. I'd tear it apart and look for a physical problem there...

wires are intact. could be some flux is causing a short or something got overheated. I'm going to go back over my solder joints and make sure nothing got shorted

Default Climate Control

Is there anyone in the L.A. area that replaces the lights in the heater/A.C. unit. Messed up my hand and can't hold a wrench for a while. Most of the lights are out. Rod

Fixed. I remembered thinking that the wiring connecting the boards was a plug and tried to unplug it causing a break in one of the wires. Mission accomplished....thanks all!!!
