Default Honker Install Help Needed

I am installing a honker in my '97 Coupe. Specific to the '97 there is a small tube attaching from the bellows and goes to pressure fuel regulator. I do not know what the tube is for and the honker instructions say to remove the tube (I am guesing it is some kind of vaccuum hose). There is no mention to reattaching the tube to the new honker coupler and there is no pre drilled location for it.

I am considering drilling my own hole into the coupler and reinstalling the tube but thought I would ask here first. Anyone know what the tube is for? Do I need it? How should I reattach it if I need it. Thanks for any help on this matter.

I also installed the honker on my 98, had same questions and concerns. Don't drill any holes. I spoke to the Calllaway technical dept and they advised me to just disconnect the hose. All is well and I haven't had any problems. You willl love the performance, fit and looks.

There was a post on this about four months ago. Do a search in recent and archives and see if you can find it. Can't remember the exact response from Callaway in the post.

Found it, here you go

I have a 97 also and had the same question when installing my halltech stinger. There was no hole in the coupler like my stock bellows had. I was told by another member to email Mr. Hall regarding the issue which I did. He said you must use the fuel regulator tube. So I drilled my own hole in the coupler and inserted the tube with no issues, codes.
The car runs good. My coupler is rubber so it has a tight fit but it can also be caulked.

I removed the tube from the fuel regulator, test ran and running good. Will let you all know if I start throwing codes.
