Default Z06 wheel question

was going to put 17" M/T radials on my my car and wanted to use Front Z06 wheels. Question is this...Can I run 17'x9.5" fronts Z06 wheels on both the front and the rear. Will there be drivability problems?. I would run most likely 265 or 275 on front and the rears are 275/17's M/T's. Any help would be great. Wanted a lighter wheel for the track but also wanted to be able to keep it on the car longer than just the track if so wanted. Thanks.....

Lots of people using that size (c4 grand sport) on the track. so it does work although I haven't heard any reports as to ABS or active handling issues as most of he people who do this turn it off on the track. probably the only way you will know for sure is to try it.

Well, a C4 GS wheel will be 11" wide, not 9.5", and people do run these in the rear.

00 vette, I don't think running this size wheel in the rear will give you optimum performance, but I'm pretty sure you can run the 17x9.5" wheels all the way around w/o issue as long as you ensure that the front tire circumference is not greater than the rear (and probably ideally the rears should have the bigger circumference). Also, you realize your odometer and speedometer will give inaccurate readings.

I was going to run a 275/17 in the rear as a drag radial and a 255 or 265 up front. I think the fronts will be 25" or 25.50 and the rears are 25.75" so the rears would be taller than the fronts. I just want to run the drag radials but want to have 4 wheels that will be matched and look OK. I have 18" Fronts now and 19" rears and they are my regular every day tires and wheels. So I want 2 sets. Sticky drag set and every day set.
