Electrical Problem
I have a 97.
Coming home from my club meeting this month the headlights flickered on and off.
When I got home I parked the car in the garage, hooked up the charger to the battery, put on the cover and went to bed.
Next morning I went out to find the headlights up, the battery dead, and the charger fried.
I got the car started with a jump from my truck and drove it to my mechanic.
The battery tester registered dead so I bought a new battery AND a new charger.
I took the car home and put it to bed only to wake up the next day to the same scenario as before.Headlights up and battery dead.
My mechanic nor the Vette guy at the local Chevy dealer ever heard of this problem.
The Chevy shop suggested we just start replacing stuff till it's fixed.
Anyone have this problem and know what the real fix is?
