Default Re-ring complete....

Picked up the car this morning. The car starts and drives normally. Didn't have a chance to romp on it because I had to take it straight home and take another car to work this morning that is going to be having dents removed today at work.

They washed and waxed the car. I wish they wouldn't have. There are fine swirl marks everywhere. I'll bet they used a cleaner wax with an abrasive. You know that fine swirl mark look most cars have when you look at the paint in a reflection. My car didn't have that until today. Drat!

Also, I reported that they had lifted the car incorrectly on 2x4s instead of lift pads. Well, sure enough, on the right side, the rocker panel underneath has a bunch of brand new scratches running alongside the rocker panel. They are straight and have no exit or entry point. The serivce manager thinks that it probably happened when they rolled the car off the lift and forgot to remove a 2x4. The scratches start at one of the lift points.

The good thing is that they accept the responsibility for it.

I don't really care as long as the GM rep doesn't notice or make any deal out of it when my car is examined next week prior to recieving my buyback check.

I wonder if GM will tell the buyer of your car that it was a buy back?
