I know this is a dumb question but? What if any testing has someone done with a catch can on a car used for drags or autocross?
The reason I ask is right after installing EE's catch can my enginge blew up. I'm sure it had nothing to do with it but I need a warm fuzzy. I don't think GMPP wants to buy me another engine.
Autocross testing starts very soon.
And yes I did install the can back on the brand new engine. Like I said I need a warm fuzzy.
What exactly failed when your engine blew? I've run my oil temp up to 240 - 260F, switching back and forth from 2nd to 3rd gear, hammering up a mountain and had no issues whatsoever with my Watts coalescing filter, which traps much more airborn oil than a catch can would. I would say it is impossible to cause major damage from any catch can.
