When to get new BFG drags

When to get new BFG drags
I have a set of 315/30/18 BFG drag radial tires. I have made a several pass on the track. The tires still have the tred pattern on the sides (They come slick in the middle when you buy that size). But on the street they don't hook like they use too. How do you know when to get a new set???????

For the track I preffer them to be bald....for me thats when they work best. The times and vids in my sig were all done on 295 -18 bfg drag radials that were completely bald with 17psi

I get slight wheel hop when its time for new or they look like the RH tire
