Default It's all so confusing

Turbos, superchargers, more cubes, on and on. In the last month I have decided to go with each of these items only to read another post (none in particular) and change my mind, again and again and again. Here's my latest. Opinions are welcome. I have now cam and heads. Cam is a mild Lunati ( the vendor wouldn't give me the specs. ) that runs out of power at 5600 RPM's. The heads have been ported with 2.02 intake and 1.60 valves. I have TPIS long tubes with no cats and Corsa Indy exhaust. True Ram Air. Ported MAF and LS6 intake. Car is 6spd with 3.90 gears. There is no road surface that can hold my car in first gear, hence a supercharger would just compound an already traction-less car into I don't no what. Sooooo, I am now thinking maybe I just need a more aggressive cam that would compliment my mods better and give me more top end and at the same time soften the bottom end just a little. I want to keep the drivability reasonable. Nothing radical. No more than 600 lift. Does this sound to anyone like it might work? A couple years ago I took this car to the track for a one time thing top see what it might do. And it wanted to run but couldn't hook. 12.31 at 114.97 with a horrible 2.34 short time. It was dyno'd and LS1edit tuned by Woodbridge Dynotech. 384hp and 362 tq. The HP actually went to 397 but the tuner de-tuned it back to 384 as it was pretty lean. Anyway, what do you guys think about a cam change and which cam might you recommend? Sorry about being so long winded.

If I wasn't into road racing where NA is king... I'd have an STS TT kit... I recently put a G5-X2 in my car... love it.

Why not work on your "hook" problem before buying into a cam swap. Looks like you need more traction before more power. Just a thought.

Where does that cam stop pulling?
