Default wiring question

does anyone have a diagram for the traction control system or guage cluster?

specifically, i would like to find the wire for the traction control off led in the dash. i'd like to find where i can tap in at the computer side of the wire, or somewhere easily accessable.

There isn't a "wire" per se that controls the LED for TC on the IPC.

The BCM uses its communication path with the IPC (Data Link Communications) to "command" the IPC to turn on/off various indicators (such as the ABS and TC lamps) on the gauge cluster.

If you're trying to defeat the lamp (and I wouldn't recommend that) you'll need to look into pulling the LED or severing the "wiring" on the printed circuit board of the panel cluster.

Only place I can see that you have a constant indicator of the TC status is by tapping off the printed circuit board in the IPC. The "status" of TC is stored and controlled by the computers involved (EBCM, BCM, etc.) and is changed by a message sent on the comms circuit between them. Other than the LED indicator, I can't see any other way to "see" the status of TC. Good luck,

Your mind is in the analog world. LOL. I thought I had mentioned that wouldn't work. The TC button "shorts" a line back to the BCM, then the processor sends that signal to the dash lights. There are other things it does with the signal than just turning on the light. That's why I had to make my circuit mimic the 'shorting' pulse signal.
