My fuel door seems to be stuck or something. I checked the fuse and it was ok then I tried the manual release and the door still will not open. Any ideas?
I would hate to have to take it to the stealership for a fix.
Has it been below freezing where you live? If so it might be frozen shut. Try inserting a credit card into the space between the body and the gas door and gently prying out. I have to do this at least once a year to one of my five cars. I live in Chicago. If you have had some cold weather it might just be that simple.
They found the problem, the actuator on the latch went out. They had to remove the inter fender well to get to it. Now what's scary is that if this part goes out while your on a trip out of town, your screwed! The bypass cable doesn't get past this part.

Either that, or you're going to cut a whole in the center of the cap. lol. I wonder what a new painted gas cap door would cost?
