C-5 battery
My C5 sits alot since I got a C6 and the battery started going dead like every week It used to go dead after sitting a month and finallyI put a new one in. I talked to my battery guy and he gave me a new one. In the meantime the new Z owners manual says to leave the car in reverse,so I checked the C5 manual ,also says to leave in reverse. That didnt fix it then my boy used it and took the key out (I never did) and now the car has a fully charged battery after 2 weeks of very cold weather. Seems like that is one answer.

When I had my 68 and needed to leave it a shop, it would inevitably fail to start when I went to pick it up. Why? Because someone would leave the key in the ignition in the "on" position. Your best bet, as you have found out, is to always remove the key.
