Power steering leak question............
I am in the midst of a battle with Porsche over a leak I experienced in my power steering system in a Boxster S that was three months old. Porsche contends that it was the result of my having taken the car onto the track (road course) and therefore not covered under warranty that excludes damage resulting from racing and off-road use. I have yet to find any Porsche mechanic who sees a relationship between the track use and power steering failures. BTW, the Boxster S does not have a power steering cooler, as does the C5 (I have been driving a Z06 for a year now!)

I don't know anything about the P/S system on a Boxster, but Chevy dosen't put a P/S cooler on the Z51 cars just for fun. The way Chevy is always trying to save a nickle and an ounce, they would certainly delete the cooler if they could. The Camaros and Firebirds are famous for eating P/S pumps on the track if they don't have a good cooler, even the factory unit through '98 was usually not enough.
