Default Another cam question

Im looking for a cam that is comparable to the ms3 or g5x3. It will be a heads and cam car, with boltons. Both of these cams have made great hp# but fall short on tq. What other large cams are you guys running?
THanks

This cam is in the forsale section brand new in box and would be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for your and would make huge power throughout the entire rpm band and ni the high rpms and would idle great with its cam profile and 114 lsa. FUTRAL motorsports is one of the most highly respected LS series tuner in the country and this is his cam and if you call him or do some more research on LS1tech.com you will see this cam is a PROVEN WINNER< and the lift is not that high so it won't beat up your valve train like some of the other cams discussed that have over .600+ lift, etc.

This is about $100 off the price to by the cam directly from FUTRAL and is new in the box!!!

If you bought this cam I would go with some great value excellent product Patriot Gold or PRC Gold dual springs good for .650 lift for around $200 that come with titanium locks and retainers and you can get hardened push rods for $100.00. Most high perf. tuners here sell these springs and hardened pushrods and for $700 your ready to rock and roll with a complete cam kit and figure about another $1,000 TOPS for install. This cam is spec'ed out for exactly someboby like you to be driven on the street primarily, make excelllent power from 2200 to 6600 rpm and probalby make between 410 to 420 peak horsepower with headers, tuning and cold air intake. It also will perform very well in the lower rpms and you car will not be sluggish at all compared to some of the BIG CAMS that many folks are runnnng with specs similar to 234/240, .610 lift on a 112 to 114 lsa!

HERE IS THE LINK FOR SALE AND INFO ON THIS AWESOME STREET CAM that ALAN FUTRAL himself personally recommeded to me b/f when my Z was going to stay n/a with stock LS6 heads!

This is a new cam, I inspected it, washed it in mineral spirits, oiled it and wrapped it back up in the original box. I am now building a 383 so I bought an F-15, so I don't need this now. $325 shipped, Paypal okay but add 3%, or postal money order. PM or email me at frodo84@gt.rr.com . Specs are: Futral Motorsports - 228"/230" .576"/.595" 114LSA - aggressive profile with a 2200-6600 RPM range, fair idle

I'm running a 238/242 .609/.615 on a 111lsa. Not exactly ideal for the street, but a huge diff. none the less. I really think I need a bigger gear for easier starts. I have to keep the rpm's at least at 1500+ just to take off from a stop light; don't know if that is normal w/ these cars didn't get to drive it much after I bought it before the cam went in.

Yours is a combination of a huge cam and lack of driveability tuning. Though it's big, it can be tuned properly. This will get rid of your bucking, but still be "soft" (IMO) under 2200rpm.

Not to hijack, but I probably need to take the tuner for a drive and let them tune it on the street, which is what they should have done from the start.
