Oh Boy.... You lost me! The wedge bulbs? I don't know what you ordered!!!

All of the switches have a sub miniature bulb mounted in a T1 wedge base, or some call it a neo wedge base.

The Radio and A/C do not use the wedgr base, they get soldred directly to the board

The dimmer switch uses a wedge base and bulb that is even smaller then the other switches.

You can use the T1 bulb covers everywhere. You'll have to trim the bottom and add a spot of glue for your dimmer switch.

The Neo Wedge LEDs can can be used directly in all buttons and switches minus the Dimmer/HUD.

I got the bulbs yesterday. I ordered the ones suggested by dgrant. I was just curious about the different colors I could get like the red you have. So if I can use the bulb covers, I will do that. Where can I get some of those? Is that what you put on the neo wedge that you have in the pic?

I got the bulb covers from;

http://www.mcmaster.com/

in the "Find Products" field (upper left) type in "16925K11"

You want the "Colored Light Bulb Covers"

For Bulb O'all Pkg.
Type Dia. Height OD Qty. Per Pkg.
G T1 1/8" 19/64" 5/32" 10 16925K11 $3.78

Click the part number and then you can select your color on the left and then order them...

I've searched for days and find nothing on how to get to the HVAC panel bulbs. How do you get the panel off, does the clear window come off to go in that way?

Isn't the correct number on the bulb for replacement like other bulbs?

I just replaced the turn/twilight bulbs using suggestions in another thread for reaching in behind the headlights, but the manual listed the wrong number for the bulbs. The correct bulbs, according to the store computer, were the same number as the old ones in car. I have a late production 2000.

What I couldn't understand was the base on the old bulbs were burned brown/black as though they were the wrong ones. ?? Thanks for any direction you can give me.
