I installed the powerloader without too many problems. Had to disconnect the battery after installation as the dashboard was lit up like a Xmas tree. After I disconnected it, all the lights went back to normal.
My question is, I notice a change in the shifting (I have an 01 A4), but Im not really convinced on the increase in power. I have yet to get the rear wheels to break free, even with T/C off, in competition mode. Any suggestions ?
Thanks for the input........John
PS-Great dealing with Exit28...PLII came exactly when they said it would. Great people to work with !!!
You said it Mean Green!!! Car is totally different. I switched cars with my best friend who is running a non-loaded car. I didn't think I was driving a Vette. If you have the chance to drive in a stock one then you will see just how far the car has come once it is loaded.

disconnecting the battery is normal after you put this program in. I believe everybody has had to do this. :yesnod: On my 99 A4, I don't have any problems spinning the tires, from a dead stop or when downshifting at loer speeds (25-35) :yesnod: :D

no battery deal for me and no funky codes or dash lights....all went like a charm!.....now as for the wheel spin :jester
Thansk for the responses...sounds like evryone is able to get the wheels to spin. Could there be a problem with my powerloader programming???
My tires are still new, well I have 1200 miles on them. Even so, dont you think they should spin? Geez, i sound like a teenager wanting to show off. My main concern is that the powerloader loaded correctly, etc, to give me the maximum affects ......
There might be an issue with just '01 cars. I'm having some issues with mine as well, and met another guy who has an 01' and his powerloader also having issues. Call Steve.
My 295/35-18 Pilot Sports spin EASILY into second & will spin al the way through first if I'm not easy on the gas.....
I have a 3.42 rear now that helps, but even with my stock 2.73 rear, they would break loose rather easily.
my c5 will burn the tires also even in 2nd.i can punch my throttle in 3rd at a cruising speed and when it downshifts to 1st you have to be ready, because the rearend starts going sideways.some of my other mods have alot to do with this also.
These stories are all true. The powerloader for the A4 is the greatest thing you can buy for it. I had the same luck as mean green as mine loaded with no problems. Happy Shredding!!!
I've been on the forum for the past year and a half, and everyone that has ever bought a Powerloader has been happy! I think its a great investment and plan on purchasing one myself!
Has anyone tried the Hypertech Power programmer? I had installed one in my '01 Denali with tremendous results, but after seeing so much on the Power Loader, I'm wondering which I should install on my '02 C5? Does the PL have the ability to change your redline limit and shift points or does it just run an optimize fuel and timing program?
Re: Installed the POWERLOADER.. (Straightpipes 1HD)
Red Line, shift points, fan temperature trigger...its got it all. The best you can buy for the car. You will feel a MAJOR difference from stock. I drive my friend's stock all the time and he drives mine and he'll be the first to say that he is extremely jealous. He hates getting teased with my ride and then jumping back into his slouchy, non-loaded one...
after I first loaded I also did'nt think there was much of a power increase but last night I was stuck behind this blue haired lady doing 25 in a 45.This went on for about 5 miles when she turned off I nailed it. The car shifted into first, burned thru first and strongly into second before I took my foot off. Needless to say I was all smiles. You have to get it to work this is too much fun to miss out on. I dont know if you can try to reload or maybe call where you bought it for some tech help
