Will TPIS headers for 2000 work on 2001?? Please help!

Will TPIS headers for 2000 work on 2001?? Please help!
I recently ordered TPIS LT's and recieved the headers for a 2000 as mine is a 2001. The air emmisions flange is currently between the 2nd and 3rd primarys on my 2001 stock manifold from the front of the engine on the passenger side. On the new TPIS headers I ordered (Ordered for a 2001 of course!!) the flange is between the 3rd and 4th primary..actually closer to the #4 primary. Question is...Can the air tube be shortened to fit the new location on the 2000 headers I have recieved?? May this cause the air pump and emmisions to work incorrectly?? I have heard of codes being popped due to some valves in the air pumps?? Dont know if a new location for different year models 2000 vs 2001 would cause problems. I just dont want to have to send the headers back and then wait for the vendor to get new ones and back to me....For I am needing to get this installed within 3 weeks. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

I had the same problem, IN REVERSE!! Got 2001 headers for my 99' coupe. I had to Lengthen the emissions tube to reach the flange on the header. I was assured by Nate at Xtreme and Jim at TPIS that there would not be a problem. The code I used to blow that caused the "check engine" light to come on doesn't anymore. :yesnod:

2000 headers will not work on 2001. My car is a 2001 & when I ordered a 2000 headers for my car Shawn from LAPD told me that TPIS headers 00 & 01 are different. I had to wait for TPIS to release their 2001 headers.
I say send them back to the vendor. Better late than sorry

wrong!!!!!!! i have 2000 headers on my 2001 . all you have to do is cut the air hose on the passenger and put a 2 inch piece of rubber hose on the passenger side. other than that they are a direct bolt on.
