X pipe vs Headers

X pipe vs Headers

Which will give me more HP? The x or the Headers? Or should I have both?

headers for sure!!!
x-pipe is more of a sound thing

i did the x pipe first. made it quieter. than the headers made it louder and more feel it in the seat. x pipe only = quieter. both = more power and brings the tone up a notch

Headers will give you the power, X-pipe will smooth out the exhaust flow for you and can reduce resonance and popping.

Not at all, and that's a common configuration. If you're planning on headers, you may want to hold off and get the x-pipe at the same time (usually as a combo).

OK. Now that we have figured out the exit...what is the BEST way to get more into the engine?

As the other guys have said. Headers will give you the power and the X pipe is more for sound. I have both plus a B&B catback and I love it.

It all depends on how much $$ you want to spend.

A good cold air intake will help a bit. Heads/cam, superchargers or turbos are the next step.

Personally, I got a good deal on the Vararam. I'm hoping to install heads/cam/headers after the car is paid off. Right now, my bike has a better lope than my vette.
