Default Ring Flutter / Catch Can Question

About to show some ignorance here but it won't be the first time. I have an 01 with the "ring flutter" issue. It is not that it burns enough oil to bother me, but my tailpipes get dirty too quick and I have small oil droplets on the rear facia. I intend to see if I will qualify for new rings but in the meantime - will a catch can eliminate any or all of this?

No reason to think why it would. If you have a ring problem, that oil is taking a direct line through your cylinders and out the exhaust. A catch can is grabbing vaporized oil through your PCV system.
