what does going to a 18 front do to the handling. there must be a reason for the 17/18 combo.
thanks

I dont think it does much of anything but give it its popular stance. Besides the handling benefits from the larger wheel out back.

I've got 18's on all 4 corners, no problems here. I have a 275/35/18 in the front and a 295/something/18 in the rear, handles like a dream and looks sweet.

If you go with 18" fronts simultaneous with switching to non-runflats, you will restore turn-in response (which is about the only thing runflats are good for).

Same here....just be sure that the overall diameter of the tires in front are smaller than the tires in back.

Yes, the 17 front is just for looks. I am switching to 18s all around too.
