overdrive
when i am going between 70 and 80 at a steady speed, it feels like my overdrive will engage then disengage and i can see a 2 to 3 thousand rpm jump when it happens any suggestions?

I had a similar issue with a different car. The radiator thermostat was sticking open so the car was not getting up to temp in cooler weather thus the tranny was staying in a higher gear. The transmission shop looked at it and told me to change the thermostat. I did and it cleared up and shifted properly.
I don't have my manual with me at this moment or it may say something about transmission fluid temp also.
Thus:
monitor you transmission fluid level (though I am not sure if the OD is fluid controlled), monitor the transmission fluid temp in the dic screen during the occurence,

i would check trans fluid level and condition, i just had trans service done recently at dealer, got car back and noticed trans shifted wierd in/out of overdrive and when i punched it could not go over 80 would bog out, took back to dealer found transmission fluid 1 1/2 qt low. p/u car test drove home and now it shifts great and goes into over drive

thanks for the reponse i filled my trans fluid. and it does it too in cruise even after the trans fill it is still doing it after the fluid warms up. the only mods i have is an exaust.
