Time for Oxygen Sensor replacement?
...I've noticed a drop in MPG for my car and its not from me wailing the hell out of it either. My question is when should the O2 sensors be replaced in this car? I have 117K miles on the clock on a 98. They are OEM sensors. I do *not* have any codes.
In my experience with previous cars, the O2 sensor tends to get tired after so many years and miles, though it doesn't throw a code.
The flip side, is the sensors cost so much I might as well eat the cost of the gas rather then fork out the $ for new sensors....

It’s not unusual for O2 sensors to last well over 100K miles if the engine has been well maintained. You can back probe the sensor with a high impedance DMM and a hot engine. If you see less than 0.2 and more than 0.7 volts and the value changes rapidly, your sensor is good.
if its not coding I wouldnt bother
