Default P0327 and P0410

Well after replacing the front knock sensor, and one day of driving with now codes, I now have 2 codes and a check-engine light.

My old friend P0327 Knock Sensor Front
and a new friend P0410 Air system.

So either
I got a bad knock sensor (unlikely)
or
The oil infiltration into the knock sensor is causing failure
or
I've got bad wiring to the PCM
or
I've got a bad PCM

Any thoughts on troubleshooting this beast further?

Also, where is the AIR pump and what might I have done during Intake Manifold removal/reinstall to break this system?

Well,,,,,,,,there is a very small vacuum line on the back of the intake that connects to the intake via a 90 deg fitting. If you have a 97 -2001 C5, that vacuum fitting supplies vacuum to a valve on the AIR pump.

If that line isnt connected, you will also loose the ability to change the vent positions in your HVAC system. All the air will be coming out the defrost vents.

Is the knock sensor loose or over tight? Either condition can cause the error code.

Did you test the new and old knock sensors with a DMM to make sure they actually produce a signal? Resistance should be between 93 and 107K ohms. Then check to see if it generates a knock signal when you use a wrench to tap on the engine near the KS.

Test the wiring from the KS to the PCM.

and a new friend P0410 Air system.

Did you accidentally do something to the AIR system while replacing the KS? Maybe the check valves and associated plumbing which are close to the heads?

Yes the old KS had the right resistance but would not produce voltage when tapped. The new KS has (Had) the right resistance and DID produce a voltage when tapped.

Nope, have not done that test yet.

No idea what/where the AIR system is so I don't know. The answer is likely YES, but without some diagnostics, I don't know.

The AIR system is the air injection into the exhaust. It includes the pipes that are just above the left side exhaust manifold and pass around the rear of the engine to the passenger side.

Code P0410 is turned on when the PCM sees that both banks of the engine do not react when the Air Pump is turned on at start up. The Air Pump makes that high pitched whine you hear when you first start the car. Either the pump isn't turning on because of a wiring or relay problem or the plumbing to the exhaust has been affected. Since this happened after working on the engine it is probable the work may have initiated this problem.

Default Knock sensor codes 0327

I have read someplace that the leads to #1 and #2 sensors have to be going to the right sensor , is that true and if so how do I trace that out, I have a modified wiring system as I have a LS3 in a 2004 Z06.
