I'm trying to do a little research on gears and stall converters to get some info so I need your all's help. Would I get about the same gitty up from 3.42s (I currenty have 2.73s ) as I would a 2800 stall converter? Which would affect street drivability more? I've seen that the gears are pretty exspensive to have installed, how about the converter? Is it better to have both installed at the same time? Lastly, should either of those, or both, be priority over Long Tubes?
if you're thinking of both, then it's silly IMO to do one without the other.
The work to replace either takes you right by the other.
Which would affect street drivability more?
the higher stall TC. But if you don't like a looser feeling drivetrain, then the drivibility "affect" may not be to your liking. If you're an avid 1/4 miler and at the track often, then a higher stall TC s a must.. despite how it may change the driving characteristics
Thanks guys, I'll probably wait till I can do both at the same time so I can get that new car feel.
Thanks Again.
I know it sounds like a lot of money but when you consider you are getting a whole different car its really not bad at all But be warned you will need rear tires more often
