I got my BPP shifter today! Everything was going good until I tried to bolt down the bpp shift base to my car. My factory bolts weremt long enough to thread into the base in the tunnel. I went to the hardware store and bought some lomger ones. The very first one I threaded in the head broke off of it!!!!!!!!!! I tried everything to get it out. Nothing worked. Now I have a "wallered out'' hole and only 3 bolts holding the shifter. I put silicon around the base to try to hold it a little more. It shifts fine and I think it should be ok.
Anyone know if I can Buy the piece that the shifter attaches to inside the tunnel and if so how and the HELL do I get it out????

You can buy the shifter housing and it's attached with torq screws. Don't know if you could do job from inside the car, if not you'll have to drop the drive train.

You can troll around for the base. Everybody that buys the C6 Zo6 shifter gets a new base, so their old one's just laying around.
