Hey guys the vette isnt running right. I pulled the intake off the clean out the oil from the pcv system which i now have a catch can to take its place. The problem is the motor now sounds like it has a weird knock time of a sound to it and i am clueless on what it could possibly be, its not setting any codes, all of the gauges on hptuners are showing up normal so i am out of ideas. If anyone would mind stoping by my home in Turnersville it would be a great help. thanks in advance.
I am woundering if i could have a dropped lifter/malfunction, now i am getting a slight squiling from the car and it has me woundering, this just occured after the car got up to operating temperatures.
I assume the intake you refer to was the air intake and not the intake manifold.
That squealing sound you hear is because you probably have the PCV tube hooked up with the valve cover vent line and the vent is being force fed. You need to have the front passenger side valve cover vent line go down to the air intake in front of the MAF so it has fresh air to breath in. Sounds to me like you manifolded the PCV and valve cover vent lines together. The squealing sound will come on after the car warms up. This will not damage your car but can create a few odd sounds
For a quick check, rev the engine up to around 1400rpm. If the squealing goes away then that is your problem. You will need to isolate the 2 tubes
