I am a bit confused as to what my actual problem is. Whenever I hit a bump in the road, my service traction, abs, and active handling warnings light up. When I turn the car off the go away, but should i hit a bump in the road or feel the car shimmy while driving they turn back on. I asked the guy that services my car about it and he said it would be $1300+ to fix. I have perused this forum to see if anyone had a more concise answer and what I find are 2 threads running almost similar, but not quite the same, issues. There is this thread that sounds most similar to the problem I am having and another long running thread that details issues almost everyone is having with their EBCM and PBMV (hope I have the acronyms correct). For those of you having the latter issues...are your warning lights always on? The EBCM and PBMV problems seem to be very expensive fixes. Trying to get to the bottom of the issue with the least expense. I'm sure the money I possibly could save could be put to use on some much coveted Mod. I have a 2000 MN6 coupe. Thanks for your helpful replies.
IPC:
B0521H - Tachometer signal malfunction
U1160 - Loss of communication with LDCM
Appreciate all help with these codes. Thanks.
Well if you are lucky the C1226 is the one being caused by the bumps in the road. Have a look at the female connectors at both ends of the passenger side front wheel harness.
I had other unrelated codes also. The c1226h(history) is most likley
the problem also causing the other (c) codes. Cliff ford great source
Go for it.
Helped me fix mine,
Tony S
Cliff you have been a big help. I cleared my codes yesterday and took her out this morning. Got the usual warning lights.. Checked codes afterwards and only code I got was TCS 1226H. So I will have to check those sensor pins.
I usually fix human bodies and not cars. What is the best way to approach this fiix? Should I try it myself or take it in to a shop? I hate to sound so ignorant, but that's what I am when it comes to auto mechanics.

Well if you get the wheel off you can do it yourself. If not get your mechanic to replace the harness and the female connector on the body or at least centre up the pins with a scribe.
