Stock valve spring installed height
I am in the middle of rebuilding my stock 241 heads and started measuring the installed height of the valve springs. I was expecting something on the order of 1.8 inches, but am finding more on the order of 1.925". Has anyone measured their stock setups that can verify these numbers?

OK, I are an idiot!!!!! I had made a special shim for the smaller diameter beehive retainers. Last time I used the tool was for a set of Crane valve springs whose retainer didn't require the special shim so all my measurements are wrong. I am now getting 1.765 so they are correct.
