engine running rough
I bough a 2000FRC that has a Lingenfelter engine. The person I bought it from was told by a dealer that they had to put in a stock computer to work on the steering column lock problem. When I bought the car the computer was still in it, and the Lingenfelter computer was handed to me.
It is going to get reprogramed in two weeks, to run on California 91 octane gas. We know it is running a little lean with the stock computer settings. This weekend it started missing. I thought it might be bad gas or a burnt wire, but then I read about the computer compensating for the lean mixture.
Before I start chasing down the problem and changing wires and plugs I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience. There are no codes being shown even though it is misfiring.

I have never heard of using a different computer unless the stock one cant handle the power anymore which happens.
