KDW 2 seems to be pretty good wet and dry tire. I have them on the rear and love them. My car never sees rain but it does hold pretty good. But my best friends RX-7 has them all the way around and drives in everything, and he never has complained about them. Great Tire
thanks for the reply. Any idea how much the No 1s are??? Don't want the expense of the runflats. I have entertained the Kumhos but not sure if there are any non run flats out there that come recommended.

Just installed the Michelin A/S ZPs about 3 weeks ago. After two sets of GYRFs I cannot believe the improvement in every area, noise levels, comfort, handling - everything. I have found myself driving twice the distances I normally do everyday just because this is the best the car has felt in 6-1/2 years! I don't even use the radio to cover up the tire noise anymore. This is the first time I have ever been "excited" about new tires in all the Corvettes I have owned. I really don't think I could ask for anything more (unless they come out with a "totally silent" run flat). For street use, I think they have really put the Goodyears to shame.
Can anyone recommend good replacement tires for a c5???? I am leaning against the Goodyear run flats. Thanks in advance.
How do you drive your car (hard, just cruising, auto-x, etc.)?
Under what weather conditions?
What are your priorities (tread life, max. performance, noise)?
Do you have a budget?
Tire design is an inherent compromise; decide what factors are more important than others, then go from there. Good luck.

And I got mine from Discounttirederect whose price includes NO CHARGE UPS shipping. Acrually cheaper then Tirerack. Performance difference is unbelievable and they are even rated for SNOW. BIGHANK
I went with the Kumho Ecsta SPTs $503. delivered from Tire Rack. These are non-runflats.
I think they are great tires they ride quieter than the RFs and handle just fine. The price cannot be beat. These are summer tires, their all season tire is the ASTs.
Even though I live in NY, I am not going to drive in snow or when salt and sand are on the ground.

The earlier post has it correct: Pilot Sport A/S ZPs from discount tire - best price and won't believe you're driving the same car.
I got almost 80,000 highway miles on my last set - for highway driving they are the best!

Discount Tire is where I got mine too - $1088 including everything!

Must have had it up on jacks and running the car! Either that or it has developed wings,,,maybe he's reading km.
That I would really like to see on a Corvette and so would GM.

My second choice (and a very very close second at that) is the B F Goodrich KDW2s. Due to Goodyears labor strike now, GS-D3s are on hold.
I currently have the KDW2s and thoroughly enjoy them on my DD. They are terrific in both dry and wet.
