Default Momentary Engine Stall

Trying to describe a knock, rattle, or any problem with a mechanical device is difficult at best, however, I'm going to give it a shot:
1. 2001 C-5 Automatic
2. 119,000 miles
3. Meticulously maintained; uses about a half quart oil between 3000 mile oil changes.
4. Original alternator
5. Battery 1 year old
6. Use only Shell 93 octane
7. No codes displayed and no history codes
8. Recently had new plugs and wires installed and MAF cleaned.
9. Stock air filter (just replaced)
10. B & B Rt 66 exhaust, no other mods.
11. Car is daily driver freeway and some stop and go 60 mile round trip each day.
Here's the problem: Once I start the car and drive 5 - 10 minutes sometimes more and somtimes less; once I come to a standstill as at a stop light or line of traffic, and the car idles for a few seconds, the engine abruptly and momentarily stalls, but them keeps running - - - just as if someone flipped a micro second switch or as on older cars, someone briefly jerking and reinserting the coil wire. Then car idles OK. This may happen once or more at idle and only at idle speed.
Any suggestions as to what my problem may be ? Will certainly appreciate your input !!!
Thanks in advance

Ther very first thing that you need to do is read and post any DTC's that the computer may have

its easy::

This is the absolute best C5 Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) web site!!!

http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Code_Main.html
http://www.corvettedoctor.com/index.html

www.corvettedoctor.com

Go to “technical data base” and then to “Corvette ECM Computer Codes”. Then select your year car. Read the instructions and then scroll down to the "READ MORE" window to view the code definitions.\

Here is another very good site:

http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_cod...d-ii-codes.php

Make sure to include the H or C suffix!!

If you have a ton of codes press the reset button and CLEAR them! drive it until it does it again and read the codes.

i have a couple of ideas but want to see the codes first.

I've had the same problem. If I'm above 2200RPM, the idle drops to about 500, sometimes as low as 2-300 then shoots back up to 1000. It'll hunt around until it finds the regular idle. The higher the RPM, the worse it is.

I have a blackwing with the hole cut in the shroud.

I don't have anything solid but look at the electrical wiring around the injectors and coils for a cut.
a coil may also be on its way out.

Have you checked out the PCV Valve yet? The connector tube from it to the intake can develop holes in it, particulary on the bottom side out of sight.
