Code P 07053 help
My transmission problem has reared it's ugly head once again. The A4 starts off in Second, even though its in OD, and it will not shift from 3-4, or OD. The DIC code constantly displays 07053, even after resetting. At a time or two the other solenoid valve codes have popped up but never returned.
A4 with 127K on it, the questions is: Change the 1-2 and 3-4 solenoid valves, or replace the xmsn all together? I think it would be a start if I replace all the control solenoids and valves, the A4 shifts smoothly, when it shifts. The shop at Corvette Specialties told m they heard a "buzzy", similiar to an inbalance at the front end of the tranny, probably fourth gear, all of this while the tranny shifted as normal.
