Hey Im doing my first dyno run tomorrow and had a quick question. I have an idler pulley whos bearings are shot (a new one is on the way) is it still safe to dyno my car? It runs fine just makes and annoying as hell belt noise.
And anything else I should know for my first dyno run
Oh and its the little plastic idler pully down by the alternator according to my mecahnic it is also part of the S/C kit and was like $12 from vortech

The only problem I coulde see is the bearings freezing up, you ripping thru the pully like nothing, maybe destroying your belt. Honestly, I could see thre belt getting thrown off first.
You should be able to get the old bearings out of the pulley and replace them. I had to do this with mine.

Ya a new part is on the way.....Its my DD and ive been driving it a while with the squealing pully and it usually goes away after getting warmed up. I guess Ill risk it and hope the drive to the place is enough to warm it up
