Default C5 Rotors

Has anyone used a set of TRINET rotors on a C5? We are doing brakes on a car and have thought of using a set of their slotted rotors. Some feedback would help. Thanks in advance.

Who sells them? I really like slotted rotors for the following reasons:

* Unidirectional slotting increases pad bite, reduces fade, and delivers exceptional braking performance.

* Slots continually de-glaze the brake pads, improving efficiency and reducing rotor scoring.

* Slots even out wear across the pad faces, increasing the effectivecontact area and extending rotor life.

* Slots help dissipate water when driving in poor weather, as well as pump away dust or dirt.

* Slotting also combats "out-gassing", where gas from the pad can form a cushion between pad and rotor, greatly reducing braking power.

As you can see, slots are not "bling" at all; they enhance performance and prevent the dreaded "pulsating pedal" that occurs when pad deposits adhere to a plain rotor face, unevenly. For street driving, slotted rotors make for an excellent choice. I have over 10,000 miles of aggressive street driving on my PowerSlot rotors and there is plenty of pad material left for many more years of driving.

Guys, I was looking on ebay for vette parts ,when I ran across Trinet. They make rotors for everything imaginable. Price for a set of 4 is about $160.00 if I remember correctly. Best part is you don't have to buy drilled, they have both. Just wanted to see if anybody has good words about them. Lets see. Thanks again.

Jim,

I am using the GM pads - they grip like crazy, so I stuck with them. ProSlot recommends Hawk pads, so I'll bet they also perform well.

Warning: Be extremely careful of these. If you are looking for performance gain instead of eye appeal you might want to look elsewhere. I have heard that these actually lower the RWHP due to turbulance in the air intake. Check dyno results. I inquired about these a year ago and this is what I was told.

I think my main concern here was if the rotors are made in China.Theres just something about Chinese steel and stopping a vette on the track and road that has me concerned. The price is secondary in the big picture . I'll probably look elsewhere since I have have a feeling these are not the quality I could trust. Thanks everybody for input.

I bought some on ebay that were cast in Canada, cross drilled, slotted, and zinc dipped in the LA area here in Calif. I run ceramic pads. It's all good so far. If you race, go for the high dollar stuff. I can get you the name.

I bought mine a couple months ago, as earlier stated from RACECONCEPTS. They have a set for C5 listed on Ebay now, item # 180095082074. I like mine and have driven in the mountains and flats, so far so good. They have a phone number listed so give them a call. If you want to race alot then I would buy the high dollar ones.
