As stated above, you can't go wrong with Steve Doten (CT Corvette)and Don Kinder's tuning (Dez Racing). Talk this through with Stve and see what hw recommends.
If you want to maximize power output the cam and heads should be specked together, since the bigger the cam the more power. As you prbly know, head intake/exhaust flow rate (port area) and compression ratio (combustion chamber volume) will effect how far you can push the duration and overlap specs.
A really big cam with stock heads could result in a lazy motor in the mid power range.
Just my .02, Steve and Don are the experts. Good luck.
Don't forget when comparing the cost of adding heads, you need to back out the cost of springs for your stock heads. If you were to buy stock 243 heads for $600, you'd need to change out the springs as well (unless your lift is relatively small), which would bring them ever closer to the ported/polished budget LS6 heads (Patriot or Texas Speed, etc). Just a way of looking at it that makes the heads seem less expensive. That's how I talked myself into getting new heads.
I will talk to Steve about what he reccomands for heads. hopefully he will see this thread and will chime in . Everyone here talks so highly about him , its a good feeling to have some one so respected to be able to work on my car.
